The owner of this state-of-the-art commercial editing studio in the Starret-Lehigh building has a great eye for space and form. Given the extraordinary architectural features of the space, it was a rare opportunity to create a highly functional and beautiful office using space, light and simple materials.
Original elements include the building's columns; its windows; and the concrete floor, treated. Bogdanow's design added sensuous wood in an ingenious system of wall panels at the editing rooms and in the entrance corridor. Multi pane-glass walls at the corridor, offices and reception area repeat the industrial window rhythm and allows light to permeate the space. |
